Yazan: OMG in Jordan I would pick up anything higher than 1 piaster since I can at least buy gum with it, where as in Canada, you can get NOTHING for less than a quarter.

I guess it would be a 25 piasters coin in Jordan, and a 50 pennies coin in the UK.
i think the pentagon shape of the coin makes it worth more.

If I dropped it, any coin size … it just seems wrong to throw away money, regardless of its worth.

If someone else dropped it, nothing less than a dollar.
